Phlebotomy technicians are essential team members at hospitals, blood donor centers, mobile phlebotomy solutions, and diagnostic laboratories. They are responsible for the following duties:

  • Drawing blood from patients

  • Explaining blood-drawing procedure to patients and answer questions

  • Evaluating patients’ ability to withstand procedure

  • Performing basic point of care testing such as blood glucose levels

  • Preparing blood, urine, and other specimens for testing

  • Verifying patient or donor identity

  • Maintaining and cleaning medical equipment such as needles, test tubes, and blood vials


    Classes are 2 hours long every Monday and Thursday. Tuition includes course materials, pair of scrubs and supplies. Tuition must be paid in full before you can begin the class. $500 downpayment required and non-refundable.
