Certified Clinical Medical Assistants are essential team members at hospitals, urgent care facilities, doctors offices, and diagnostic laboratories. They are responsible for the following duties:
Drawing blood from patients
Performing EKGs
Evaluating patients’ ability to withstand procedures
Performing basic point of care testing such as blood glucose levels
Preparing lab specimens for testing
Verifying patient or donor identity and answering calls
Updating electronic billing records
Classes are 2 hours long every Monday and Thursday. Tuition includes course materials, pair of scrubs and supplies. Tuition must be paid in full before you can begin the class. $500 downpayment required and non-refundable.
